HOUSTON, Texas (Aug. 28, 2008) - Rhonda Chandler, of counsel with Hughes Watters Askanase L.L.P. (HWA), has been chosen as a panelist for the "2008 Bankruptcy Litigation: Advanced Pre-Trial Practice and Procedure Workshop" which will be held in Dallas on Sept. 18-19.  The workshop is sponsored by the Bankruptcy Section of the State Bar of Texas, the DFW Association of Young Bankruptcy Lawyers, and the University of Texas School of Law.

As part of a panel discussion on "Electronic Discovery" scheduled for Sept. 19, Chandler will focus her comments on recent changes to the Federal Rules of Civil Procedure and the process for a Rule 26 conference and protocol among counsel.

"Recent changes to the federal rules regarding electronic discovery make it imperative for lawyers who regularly practice in federal court to keep up to date on this topic," Chandler explained.

Chandler has been practicing law since 1986. She is an approved mediator for the Texas state courts and the federal courts in the Southern District of Texas. She concentrates her practice in the area of bankruptcy related litigation.
