Carolyn Taylor, Dominique Varner of Hughes Watters Askanase
to Speak at Real Estate Seminar

HOUSTON (Oct. 24, 2007) - Hughes Watters Askanase L.L.P. (HWA) partners Carolyn Taylor and Dominique Varner will be speaking at the University of Houston's Advanced Real Estate seminar. Taylor will present at the seminar in Houston on Nov. 9, and Varner will speak in Dallas on Nov. 16

Taylor and Varner will discuss "Handling Defaulted Loans: Demands, Negotiations, Deeds in Lieu and the Aftermath." They were asked to speak at the seminar because of their experience and expertise in foreclosure and bankruptcy law.

"This is a timely topic, and the seminar should be well-attended due to the mortgage industry crunch and upswing in foreclosures," said Varner. "I look forward to discussing the current status of the industry with other attorneys."

The Advanced Real Estate seminar, sponsored by the University of Houston Law Foundation, is a two-day comprehensive course designed for real estate attorneys. Attendees will qualify for continuing legal education (CLE) credit, including two hours in ethics and professional responsibility. To register or for more information, visit
