      Hughes Watters Askanase Partner Lawrence A. Young Named as Fellow
f American Bar Foundation

HOUSTON, Texas (July 17, 2012) – Hughes Watters Askanase L.L.P. partner Lawrence A. “Larry” Young was named a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation (ABF), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization that is considered the premier institution in the United States for social science research on law.

Young, who joined HWA in 1994, has more than 30 years of experience in the practice of law. As a Fellow of the ABF, he joins an elite group of attorneys who are nationally recognized for leadership and professional excellence. The ABF was founded in 1952 by the American Bar Association. Members are nominated by Fellows in their jurisdiction and elected by the Board of the American Bar Foundation.

The Foundation is an honorary organization of attorneys, judges, law faculty, and legal scholars who have been elected by their peers to become members. Fellows have demonstrated outstanding achievements and dedication to the welfare of their communities and to the highest principles of the legal profession. The Fellows support the research work of the American Bar Foundation through their annual contributions and sponsor seminars and events of direct relevance to leaders of the legal profession.
