Jennifer is responsible for credit union collection matters and other loan default servicing litigation as a member of the legal teams assigned assigned to HWA’s Commercial Litigation, Credit Union Representation, and Default Servicing Practice Areas. She joined the firm in September 2017 with a desire to learn from and practice with skilled and reputable attorneys who excel in their respective fields of law. Jennifer feels that HWA provides her ample opportunities to grow personally and professionally through challenging and interesting work. She enjoys contributing to the firm’s growth as a member of its legal team. She also represents the firm in several community outreach programs and projects, including serving as the firm’s liason for the Houston Young Lawyers Association’s Adopt an Angel program, in which HWA participates each holiday season.

Jennifer became interested in pursuing a legal career while she was a teenager, long before earning her high school, university and law school diplomas. She served as an Intern for The Honorable Gray Miller of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Texas during the Fall of 2014 and as an intern for Justice Jeff Brown of the Texas Supreme Court during the Summer of 2015. She has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas since November 2016.

Jennifer began working in the legal field in 2014, starting as a legal intern. Before joining HWA, she worked as an associate attorney with another civil litigation Houston-based law firm for a year, where she represented the largest retailer of alcoholic beverages in Texas in an administrative action brought by the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

She focuses her practice on civil litigation and collection matters. She practices in a variety of courts, primarily in Southeast Texas, and brings breach of contract actions for credit unions against defaulting debtors.
