CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Glenn Valentine joined Hughes Watters Askanase as an Associate in 2007. He was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in the Fall of 2007. In addition, Glenn is admitted to practice law in the U.S. District Courts of Texas (Southern, Western, Northern and Eastern).
CLIENT EXPERIENCE
Glenn routinely represents financial institutions and other lenders in connection with the structuring, documentation, negotiation and closing of real estate and non-real estate financing transactions. Such transactions include acquisition loans, refinancings, construction loans, development loans, equipment financings, mortgage warehouse facilities and other lending transactions. He also counsels banks, mortgage servicers, special servicers and borrowers in connection with workouts, restructurings, forbearances, reinstatements, foreclosures, bankruptcies, collections, note sale/purchase transactions and similar matters.
In addition, Glenn represents small and large companies and investors in connection with the negotiation, closing, restructuring and modification of various types of financing transactions, including real estate-secured loans, equipment loans and working capital lines of credit. He also advises companies and investors in connection with the leasing, acquisition and disposition of real estate and personal property assets and related financing transactions.
Some of Glenn's representative matters include:
- Representation of lender in connection with the negotiation, documentation and closing of a $13 million loan for the construction of a multi-family apartment project.
- Representation of lender in connection with the structuring and documentation of a $10 million receivables-based revolving line of credit to homebuilding company.
- Representation of lender in connection with the negotiation, documentation and closing of a loan to finance the acquisition of a golf course and adjacent residential lots, and a subordinate line of credit for the construction of clubhouse and related facilities.
- Representation of lender in connection with the negotiation, documentation and closing of a revolving warehouse credit facility secured by single-family mortgage loans.
- Representation of lender in connection with the divestiture of a $12 million loan secured by hotel property and the seller-financing thereof.
- Representation of transportation company in connection with the negotiation and closing of a $75 million term equipment loan secured by maritime assets.
- Representation of transportation company in connection with the negotiation and closing of a $50 million term equipment loan secured by maritime assets.
- Representation of corporate borrower in connection with the negotiation and closing of a $75 million asset-based credit facility, together with subsequent amendments thereto and pledges of additional collateral thereunder.
